Is Soljari Split free?
Yes. Creating groups, adding expenses, settling up and the ledger are all free, with no per-group limit.
Do I need to connect a bank account?
No. Soljari Split records who owes whom. The actual payment happens however you already pay each other - UPI, cash, transfer.
Why does an expense need approving?
Because one wrong number changes everyone's balance. The group owner approves each expense before it counts, and the person who added it sees the status either way.
What is a linked payer?
Someone whose share you are covering. Mark them in a group and their portion is added to yours before balances are shown. It applies only in that group.
Can I settle more than one group at once?
Yes. Select several groups and their debts are combined, then reduced to the fewest payments that clear everything.
What happens after I confirm a settlement?
The selected groups lock - no further expenses can be added or edited - and the final payments appear in your ledger as things to pay or collect.
Can I still see a settled group?
Yes, permanently. All four working tables are stored with the settlement, so you can trace exactly how each figure was reached.
What if someone only pays part of what they owe?
Record the part payment. The balance drops by that much and the entry stays open until the rest is cleared.
Can I add friends without being in a group with them?
Yes. Follow each other and you can settle directly and find each other quickly next time.
